A special milestone for one of the region's leading industrial partners: Dow will celebrate its 60th anniversary in Terneuzen in 2025. Since its establishment in 1965, Dow has grown into the largest chemical company location outside the United States and a key driver of the region's economic and technological development. As a Smart Delta Resources partner from the very beginning, Dow has been actively contributing to the sustainable transition of industry in the Scheldt Delta region for years.

What began with 275 employees and several factories has grown into an impressive 440-hectare site with 16 factories and over 3,600 employees. Dow Terneuzen is now not only the largest employer in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen but also a global player in the production of chemical building blocks for countless everyday applications. From smartphones and packaging to medical products and insulation materials: Dow's impact is far-reaching.

With a strong focus on innovation, safety, and sustainability, Dow continues to invest in the future. The company plays a key role in strengthening the business climate, training young talent, and supporting the region's quality of life. As Tabita Verburg, Area President Benelux, aptly puts it: "We make an impact every day, as the largest employer in the region, as a partner in society, and as a driving force behind innovation and sustainability."
