OCAS's brand new Global Energy Transition Lab (GET-LAB) has officially opened in Zelzate. The test centre supports the development and assessment of materials for technologies that enable industrial transformation and energy transition. These include applications such as hydrogen systems and the safe transport and storage of CO₂.

The Volvo Group is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its truck factory in Ghent and, at the same time, taking the next step in sustainable transformation: the construction of a zero-emission mobility hub on and around the site. The 50th anniversary was celebrated at the Ghent site. The programme focused on craftsmanship, innovation and the sustainable future of mobility.

The first pipelines are being laid in the port areas of Antwerp and Ghent, with a strategic connection between Kallo and Zelzate. The new hydrogen infrastructure will be crucial for making industry in our region more sustainable.

This large-scale project for the production of green hydrogen is an important step in making the regional industry more sustainable.

It concerns ArcelorMittal (ZestA), ENGIE/Equinor (H2BE) and previously TotalEnergies/Zeeland Refinery (EnergHys) and Air Liquide (Elygator).

Today, March 12, the contract for a feasibility study into an ammonia network from the port to the hinterland in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium was signed.

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK) have awarded VoltH2 a substantial operating subsidy for the Stimulation of Sustainable Energy Production and Climate Transition (SDE++) to support the production of green hydrogen.

To stimulate the production of green hydrogen, two Zeeland projects receive a subsidy from the government under the so-called IPCEI scheme. In response to the growing demand for sustainable raw materials and energy, preparations are currently being made at Vopak Terminal Vlissingen for the storage of green ammonia.

The green hydrogen projects ELYgator (Air Liquide) and Haddock (Ørsted & Yara) received IPCEI status from the European Commission last week.

Once again, Yara Sluiskil, as the largest hydrogen producer in the Netherlands and the largest production site of the group, sees opportunities to be an enabler for a sustainable hydrogen economy.
